Responsibilities:
- Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures
- Develop and implement plans to safeguard digital data to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Analyze SAST & DAST findings and assist with the prioritization of remediation
- Monitor CVE notices to prioritize and assist with remediation
- Work with staff to identify and mitigate risks to end users and data; help to enforce policies and procedures
- Manage endpoint security tools and secure an ecosystem of various disparate applications
- Provide ad-hoc cybersecurity training to personnel and staff as needed
- Characterize and analyze logs, network traffic, and alerts to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to cloud resources
- Use project management tools to manage system implementations and changes
- Provide intelligence analysis and support to designated exercises, planning activities, and time sensitive operations
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 2 years’ experience in information security
- Security certifications will be taken into account during employment - willingness to continue education in security field for certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CASP+ will be taken into consideration
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity.
- Experience writing scripts, application code or infrastructure as code
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience managing endpoint protection and hardening tools
- Experience using
- Experience with Python, TypeScript, Linux Command Language, Powershell, JavaScript
- Experience AWS Services risk, vulnerability, and anomaly detection and awareness and mitigation
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts/protocols, and network security methodologies
- Use and management of operating systems including Microsoft, and Linux Configuration and deployment of computer software support tools (i.e. remote management, antivirus, backup and recovery, monitoring tools, etc.)
- Understanding and application of CIS, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK and other frameworks to create best practice guidelines for various systems
- Knowledge and familiarity with security tools, exploit tactics, and defense methods
