Information Technology Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and define requirements, ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Develop user stories that clearly convey business needs to software development teams.
• Analyze back-end applications, API integrations, data flows, and EDI mappings.
• Lead business meetings, provide project status updates, and assist in testing and validation processes.
• Create process flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to illustrate design strategies.
• Prepare and deliver impactful client presentations.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT, advocating for both sides.
• Become a subject matter expert on various business packages and custom solutions.
• Not just interpret data, but find meaningful patterns and improvements.
• Support and troubleshoot business applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 4 years of recent experience in Business Analysis and a minimum of 7 years of relevant IT experience.
• Proficiency in all phases of software and testing lifecycles.
• Strong skills in writing clear and testable acceptance criteria.
• A solid understanding of relational databases, data management, and SQL.
• Knowledge of APIs, including JSON notation, API objects, and endpoints.
• Experience leading or participating in Agile meetings and working with tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Excellent whiteboarding, investigative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Local candidates to the Chicago Metro area who are fully COVID vaccinated and boosted.
• Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer (no Corp to Corp candidates).
