Information Technology Manager

Akkodis is looking to hire a skilled IT Manager for an exciting client located in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have exposure to a variety of software, server and database environments and responsibilities. Our client is looking to add someone to the team to help maintain their legacy IT environment but also help take them to the next iteration of their IT operations. Currently they are using tools like cPanel & PHP for web/database environment but are looking for someone who can help them grow to their next phase implementing a more modern RDBMS and Linux. In the near term, you wouldn't have any direct reports but would be tasked with leading the future of IT with the organization.

Our client is a smaller organization but well-established and hitting a growth phase so looking for the right leader to help them technologically.

Job Responsibilities for the IT Manager:

• Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems
• Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support
• Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems
• Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting

Job Qualifications for the IT Manager:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in related field
• Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems
• Several years experience working within Linux including server administration and set up
• Several years experience with SQL, database maintenance and data management

This is a full-time role that will be based out of their office in Buffalo, NY.

Target salary will be $70,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.
