IT Infrastructure Manager

A client of Robert Half is looking to hire an experienced full-time IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage their infrastructure, including network, server, and data center operations. This key role will oversee cloud services, system monitoring, and security as well as ensure effective end-user support, budget management, and vendor coordination. Report to the IT Director and drive IT strategic planning and implementation.

Infrastructure Responsibilities:

• Network Management: Setup, maintain, and optimize network systems (LANs, WANs, etc.), ensuring security and reliability.
• Server Management: Manage physical and virtual servers for high availability and performance, including installation and monitoring.
• Data Center Management: Supervise data center operations, ensuring security and efficiency.
• Cloud Services Management: Integrate and manage cloud services for scalability and cost-efficiency, including cloud storage and applications.
• System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools, resolve performance issues, and minimize downtime.
• Security Management: Develop and enforce IT security policies, manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and ensure compliance.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Create and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Support Responsibilities:

• Helpdesk Support: Oversee IT Help Desk operations to meet SLAs, ensuring high end-user satisfaction (98% First Response Time, 98% Resolution Time).
• Desktop Support: Ensure functional and secure desktop, mobile, and computer equipment for all employees.

Managerial Responsibilities:

• Budget Management: Manage IT infrastructure budget, including cost estimation, reporting, and control.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and services; negotiate contracts and ensure SLA compliance.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the IT infrastructure team, foster inter-departmental collaboration, and provide training and development.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and build a cohesive IT team to deliver exceptional IT services and support.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management.

• 5+ years’ experience managing others in an IT environment.
• 5+ years’ customer service experience.
• 7+ years’ experience as a Windows System Administrator.
• 5+ years’ experience with Exchange and Active Directory.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Network Administrator.
• 5+ years’ experience running successful IT projects.

Must have strong Project Management skills proven delivery of complex IT Infrastructure projects including budget management, and strategic planning.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, skills.

Must be technically hands-on to assist when necessary.

Must be forward thinking, problem solver and strategic in nature.
