Responsibilities

This position requires the candidate to have experience in implementing, integrating, developing and delivering complex systems, sub-systems, or interfaces during the development life cycle and post-development maintenance. The candidate must be familiar with Object oriented programming methods and languages, Systems Software Specification Lifecycle, and web development technologies. Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare technical and business documentation and ensure all project documents/codes are effectively managed. The candidate is also expected to participate in the software architecture analysis and design.
  • Design and develop web-based applications according to technical and functional specifications.
  • Perform code reviews and troubleshooting/debugging.
  • Use programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write code optimizing software performance.
  • Able to implement code reusable approach in providing solutions.
  • Adhere to coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Able to perform web application tuning for performance, security and reliability.
  • Build front-end applications with user-friendly UI (User Interface) and actively engage with end-user for efficient, effective and great UX (User Experience).
  • Proactively engagement with colleagues and peers (teamwork).
  • Conduct technical risk assessment and estimation, incorporating principles of COBIT and IT governance frameworks.
  • Implement IT governance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and controls to maintain the security and integrity of systems, data and processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and standards related to IT governance, and incorporate relevant practices into project planning and execution.
  • Possess Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology that is recognised by the Government from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
  • At least one (1) year working experience.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and meticulous personality.
  • Adaptive, innovative independent and self-motivated with possessing good problem-solving skills.
  • Possess high level of integrity.
  • Ability to work in a team, committed and dedicated to work.
  • Knowledge of Database Design and Data Integration. Experience in MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL is an added advantage.
  • Experience in web application development and system integration.
  • Proficient with PHP, PHP Framework such as Laravel and Yii, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PERL, or Python.
  • Experience or knowledge in front-end web applications integration with back-end services via AJAX/JSON/REST.
  • Familiar with GIT/SVN Versioning Control.
  • Knowledge of WordPress or any similar open-source content management system.
  • Familiarity with any open-source reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with standard software development methodologies such as agile or waterfall models.
  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems (development platforms), i.e., Windows and Linux, would be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in payment gateway/e-wallet.
  • Demonstrated understanding in IT resources management and IT governance framework and principles.
  • Applicants should be a Malaysian citizen.

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All Candidates Must Have Obtained

  • Credits (at least C) for Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government and,
  • At least Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
