Our client is a global investment management firm. We are looking for someone in the Philadelphia area to join the Institutional Client Services Team.


This is a full-time, permanent position that will be a hybrid of working from home as well as in-person in the Philadelphia office.


**NOT OPEN TO RELOCATION AT THIS TIME**


The Institutional Business Development Associate will support senior leaders in Institutional Sales, Consultant Relations, and Relationship Management. They will play a key role in executing business strategies, optimizing sales processes, and enhancing client relationships.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Shadow Senior Team Members: Gain deep insights into your team's territory, channel, clients, and consultant relationships.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with smaller clients, consulting firms, and prospects under senior team guidance.
  • Meeting Coordination: Prepare materials, manage logistics, and follow up on all external meetings.
  • CRM Management: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of client, prospect, and consultant information in Salesforce.
  • Market Intelligence: Track industry trends, search activities, and competitor movements to identify opportunities.
  • Target Audience Identification: Assist in pinpointing key targets for the Firm’s strategies and ensure effective engagement.
  • RFP Coordination: Manage the screening, prequalification, and coordination of RFPs and fee proposals.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough competitor and peer analyses.
  • Compliance: Handle AML and Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment for existing clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain critical reports, including the pipeline, Client at Risk, and Consultant Ratings.
  • Conference Strategy: Screen attendee lists, and coordinate outreach strategies before industry events.
  • Team Initiatives: Participate in initiatives to support the success of the Institutional Business Development team.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Licenses: Series 7 & 63 required.
  • Experience: 3-7 years of institutional asset management experience required.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with public funds, corporate, endowment and foundation, Taft-Hartley, and insurance market segments, as well as the Institutional Consultant community.
