The Instructional Designer supports the Product, Selling, and Initiatives team in creating best-in-class training solutions for our Field Associates. An expert in teaching how to lead and deliver an exceptional customer experience, they’re an advocate for the field organization and collaborate with cross-functional partners to conceptualize, develop, and deliver product and selling-focused learning strategies and streamlined resources that drive results.

The Instructional Designer supports the Product, Selling, and Initiatives team in creating best-in-class training solutions for our Field Associates. An expert in teaching how to lead and deliver an exceptional customer experience, they’re an advocate for the field organization and collaborate with cross-functional partners to conceptualize, develop, and deliver product and selling-focused learning strategies and streamlined resources that drive results.
Specifically, this position will:
- Create and maintain innovative training resources to build, retain, and sustain field associate product knowledge.
- Develop learning experiences based on customer engagement and selling techniques that are engaging, realistic, and relevant to today’s learner.
- Includes (but not limited to) videos, eLearnings, instructor-led meetings/ conferences, and reference materials.
- Leverage strong collaboration skills to partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), field partners, and stakeholders to clearly understand target audience and content needs to construct learning and performance outcomes
- Utilize project management fundamentals to build detailed and attainable project plans that include tracking, milestones, deliverables, and communication/review cadences
- Write agendas, outlines, presentations, scripts, storyboards, process-oriented documentation, and all other supporting materials
- Support execution of gratis for field associates, meetings, and conferences/events.

Qualifications
- Retail background, store selling/operations experience
- A passion for learning, teaching, and inspiring performance through creative solutions
- Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading
- Possess learning agility and ability to adapt in a fast paced and collaborative team environment
- Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites application skills
- Strong organizational skills, detail and process oriented; ability to handle multiple, complex projects and adapt quickly to business changes
- Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills including listening, probing for understanding and articulating ideas and messages in a clear and concise manner
- Travel requirements 10%
- Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent work experience (ex. 1 - 3 years’ experience in formal writing or instructional design)
