Instrument Specialist

Reports To

Maintenance Superintendent

The Instrument Specialist role will be a senior field technician dedicated to improving the overall maintenance effectiveness.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• SOP/Procedure creation
• Oversee equipment testing
• Area instrument system SME
• Support training development for area techs
• Drawings verification support
• Maintenance projects support
• Performs other duties as required.
  
  

Education And Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical degree or equivalent experience and background in mechanical field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the instrumentation maintenance field.
  
  

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  
  

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Regularly required to push, pull, bend and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations.
• Occasionally required to stoop and kneel.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, feet, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Required to be medically certified for respirator and medically fit for duty.
• Use of PPE required in specific areas.
