Achievements And Stimulating Challenges

Under the supervision of the AUTO Business Unit Manager, the selected candidate participates in the assembly of electrical and mechanical components of test benches. The candidate should be resourceful and able to read electronic and mechanical plans. You will learn several aspects of assembly on diversified real-time simulation projects, in all areas: power electronics, automotive, aeronautics, electric motors, etc.

Main Duties

  • Assembly test benches based on electronic and electrical equipment. Integrate OPAL-RT, National Instrument, among other vendors according to the system design defined by integration engineer.
  • Mount mapping boxes composed by various electronic components, such as resistance conductors, diodes, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, switches, wires and other electronic parts.
  • Install and adjust components, wiring and clamps to assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools.
  • Work closely with the planning team to understand buying needs. Enter purchase orders in an internal ERP system (Microsoft Business Central). Organize parts inventory; Adhere to policies and procedures, audits and quality control processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Technical diploma in mechanics, electromechanics or electronics.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in assembling mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanics, knowledge of PCs, mastery of assembly tools (soldering iron, multimeter, drill, screwdriver, etc.) and electronic components.
  • Language abilities: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is an asset to read technical documents.
  • Soft skills: Manual dexterity, rigor and determination, autonomy. Proactive, ability to solve problems, reliable and trustworthy.
  • This position being mostly hands-on and requiring to work with hardware, the selected candidate will be working in the office most of the time.
