We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our Charlotte office in support of our high-end commercial workplace and law office markets. Candidates should possess a high degree of design sensibility with experience in client presentations and management. Knowledgeable experience in the early project phases, workplace programming/analysis, and construction documentation is paramount. In this role, you will be a critical team member in the design process, working closely with clients, consultants, and outside stakeholders to bring high-end workplaces to life.

A Day in the Life:

  • Work side by side in a team environment with our Design Leaders, Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, Urban Planners and Emerging Professionals on active production projects
  • Contribute to other design and marketing efforts undertaken by the firm
  • Lead project design efforts from early concept development to final documentation
  • Create visual presentations and communications for client interactions
  • Discover your areas of interest and work with talented mentors
  • Develop design assignments throughout all project phases
  • Coordinate architectural drawings across disciplines
  • Gain valuable project management experience by leading communications between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
  • Play an integral part in overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm's strategic priorities

Your Strengths as an Interior Designer II:

  • Technical production skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Advanced design sensibilities and communications skills, with the ability to convey design through multiple disciplines and techniques
  • Experience with graphics software such as Sketchup, Lumion, or Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Understanding of relevant codes such as state building codes, FGI Healthcare Guidelines, NFPA, IBC, ANSI 117.1, BOMA
  • Interest in achieving accreditation is preferred such as LEED, WELL, etc.
  • Understanding of the design and procurement processes
  • Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle project challenges

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited university or equivalent field of study
  • 5+ years of design experience in an architecture firm is preferred
  • NCIDQ certification is required

A cover letter, resume and portfolio demonstrating Revit skills and rendering abilities are required.
