The Strategic Finance team within RA Capital helps inform investment decisions and improve core processes with data-driven analyses. The team focuses on three core areas: portfolio management, risk management, and financial market analytics. The team operates on a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced environment; often collaborating across teams (Invest, Venture, Legal, Finance, Compliance, TechAtlas, etc) and working directly with senior leadership & portfolio managers.

About the Internship
As an Intern within the Strategic Finance team, you will spend twelve weeks working with the support of a Strategic Finance Associate on various qualitative and quantitative analyses. This Internship is designed to give you a glimpse of the type of analyses that we perform to inform decision making and maintain a competitive advantage in today’s markets. While the internship will be hybrid (time at the office is required, with some availability to work remotely), this is a Boston, MA-based internship.

Assessment/Potential Full-Time Offer: During the course of your internship, you will be required to present your work to senior leadership. This presentation, along with your time at RA will be used as an assessment to determine a potential full-time offer to join RA Capital.
Requirements
We are looking for curious, intelligent, and driven individuals with a strong interest in financial markets and data analytics that are capable of delivering results in a timely manner and at the highest levels of quality. All applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be within 1 year of graduation (Bachelors or higher) in a STEM or finance/economics degree.
Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and basic knowledge of python. Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred.
Must be curious, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to changing projects and priorities.
Must be based in Massachusetts (consideration will be given to applicants who are willing and able to relocate to MA for the duration of the internship).
