Internal Communications Specialist

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure alignment with company goals and enhance employee engagement
• Create, edit, and distribute content for internal newsletters, emails, intranet updates and other communication channels
• Design and implement internal communication campaigns to support major company announcements and culture-building activities
• Develop content ideas for deliverables such as infographics, presentations and videos to enhance communication effectiveness and reach
• Collaborate with various stakeholders on communications projects and collateral creation and implementation
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internal communications to ensure the company’s approach remains innovative and effective
• Participate in other projects and tasks as needed
• Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
• Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion among all IMA associates
  
  

You Should Have

• Minimum 4 years of experience working in internal communications, public relations, or a related field
• Experience supporting internal communications efforts including Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Sales and/or Marketing
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related degree
• Superior verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to effectively organize material, distill complex ideas and write lively and appealing content in a variety of voices
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Project management skills and the ability to quickly shift priorities based on business needs
• Well-honed interpersonal and relationship-building skills that facilitate strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executive management
• Expertise in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, intranet content management systems and digital signage software
• Basic knowledge of video editing software
• Ability to work independently regarding matters of significance
  
  

Salary Range

$55,000—$85,000 USD
