Inventory and Ordering Specialist

Job Description

Material Handling Systems, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory and Ordering Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position is crucial in optimizing our ordering and inventory processes to ensure efficient operations.

Job Description:

• Organize and streamline the ordering process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement and maintain an effective inventory management system.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies.
• Create and manage ordering processes within NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to minimize discrepancies and stockouts.
• Generate reports on inventory status, purchasing trends, and cost analysis.
• Work closely with various departments to understand their ordering needs and provide timely solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding purchasing and inventory control.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or purchasing roles.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, NetSuite experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  
  

Compensation and Hours:

• Basis for unit of salary/pay: Hourly
• Salary: $20-26/HR
• Hours per week: 40, with potential for flexibility based on business needs.
• Shift: Day shifts with occasional flexibility for inventory counts and ordering deadlines.
