Inventory Control Administrator

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Administrator plays a vital role within the Asset Management department of our organization. The role will focus primarily on the day-to-day Management of our system updates and reconciliations, ensuring all data is reflected correctly in our system of records. Your primary responsibilities will include daily communication with team members, 3rd party vendors and field staff. Primary functions include but are not limited to reconciling system administration for accuracy and a supporting role for supply and demand with accountably to deadlines. The ideal candidate for this role should be a highly detail-oriented, sense of urgency, process-driven team player and demonstrate exceptional follow-up skills.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage all requests for chassis remarks and org changes in the system. Ensuring accurate data received and implemented.
  • Input chassis attributes in ERP system to make sure they meet the contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply and demand, logistics, and field teams for system updates.
  • Maintain accurate contributor, inventory org and genset inconsistency reports.
  • Coordinate with external partners to ensure timely and accurate information exchange, resolving any data discrepancies.
  • Generate monthly manual remarks and org changes score cards for upper management visibility.
  • Manage work que for reinstatement units to include physical possession of the unit confirmed and location, date, and org updated in the system.
  • Invoice auditing and coding for Idle Storage and sublease accounts
  • Support cross-functional Storage and Gate handling and reduce the monthly discrepancies.
  • Manage scrap program across the country. Providing POs for work to be completed and reconciling revenue received from the scrap vendor.
  • Scrap and storage accrual reported to finance.
  • Support physical inventory of idle equipment at 60 locations.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis, with the ability to handle gate records, EDI transactions, and other relevant data sources.
  • Strong diligence and accuracy, ensuring precise reconciliation of inventory and data records and fulfill customer orders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of intermodal transportation, chassis utilization, and industry regulations is a plus.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and data visualization tools.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid arrangement (3 days in office)
