Job Title: Investment Banking Analyst

Job Summary

The Investment Banking Analyst will support senior bankers in executing a variety of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services. This role involves conducting financial analysis, preparing detailed reports and presentations, and performing market research to help clients make informed financial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and comparable company analysis to support deal structuring and strategic decisions.
  • Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and transaction-related documents for mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and other capital market activities.
  • Perform due diligence, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and company profiling.
  • Assist in the execution of transactions by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including legal and accounting teams.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to identify potential opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries for senior management and clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Support senior bankers in client meetings, presentations, and transaction negotiations.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, models, and other analytical tools used in transaction evaluation.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of legal and regulatory documentation.
  • Provide support in post-deal analysis and the preparation of closing documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related financial role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment banking products, and corporate finance principles.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA Level 1) or progress toward certification are advantageous.
