Investment Director, Venture Capital

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Investment Director to join our venture capital team on a full-time basis. The Investment Director will play a pivotal role in leading investment activities, sourcing new opportunities, and managing portfolio investments. Roles And Responsibilities

• Investment Strategy and Execution:
• Develop and execute the firm's investment strategy, identifying target sectors, investment themes, and geographic focus areas.
• Lead the end-to-end investment process, including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, and negotiation.
• Evaluate investment opportunities based on strategic fit, market potential, competitive landscape, and financial viability.
• Portfolio Management and Value Creation:
• Oversee a portfolio of early-stage investments, monitoring performance, and supporting portfolio companies in achieving growth milestones.
• Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio company management teams, fostering innovation and driving operational excellence.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies to develop and execute strategic initiatives, expand market reach, and optimize business strategies.
• Investor Relations and Fundraising:
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors, providing regular updates on fund performance and investment opportunities.
• Lead fundraising efforts for new funds, preparing marketing materials, conducting investor presentations, and negotiating terms with limited partners.
• Ensure alignment of investor interests with fund objectives, maintaining transparency and trust throughout the investor relations process.
• Market Research and Industry Analysis:
• Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends, technological advancements, and investment opportunities.
• Monitor competitive landscape and market dynamics to assess potential risks and opportunities for portfolio companies and new investments.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes, economic trends, and sector-specific developments that may impact investment decisions.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Build and lead a high-performing investment team, providing mentorship, professional development, and guidance on investment strategies and best practices.
