IT Application Engineer

Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for developing applications around the core concepts of business process management, collaboration, business intelligence and enterprise content management. Involves building and configuring solutions within .NET and Nintex K2 frameworks.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Works directly with business process users and managers to improve the overall process efficiency while enhancing data quality Designs, configures, programs, tests, debugs and implements scalable applications.
• Develops Microsoft Power Platform solutions including PowerApps and PowerAutomate.
• Develop SQL Server Databases with relational database structure, including tables, views, functions and stored procedures. Setup and maintain database security.
• Develop Power BI reports and SQL Reporting Service reports.
• Create SQL Server Integration Studio jobs that transform data between Various data sources.
• Designs, develops and supports business management processes utilizing Nintex K2 including integration with SharePoint, MS SQL and Oracle EBS application database.
• Develop and extend base functionality of SharePoint application pages created in VB.NET / C# using SQL and SharePoint datasources
  
  

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; and is frequently required to sit; and walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for reading and writing purposes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in wet conditions.

The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud.

Periodic travel to troubleshoot problems or implement new systems is required.

Equipment and Supporting Services:

Basic Equipment needed is Computer, Phone, Business Cards and Security Badge.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field from a two or four-year college, university or technical school; and/or four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Skills:

1-3 years of experience utilizing C#, VB.NET and SQL to develop enterprise, data-driven solutions.

Experience developing processes with external data integration using Nintex K2 Five is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of HTML to design user interfaces and web pages.

Knowledge of JSON and API calls used to retrieve and send data to various cloud-based systems using Postman or another API Platform.

Exposure to use of SharePoint Online including basic document library / list configuration as well as permission setting.

Exposure to governance programs used to manage Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint online and other low-code development environments in an enterprise.

Strong Analytical And Problem-solving Skills Are Required.

Must be able to solve complex software issues.

Strong technical writing skills are highly preferred to support documenting business requirements, application design, technical specifications and testing plan.

Must be able to function in a team environment by working with,and cooperating with others.

Requires a high level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to deal effectively with individuals both inside and outside of the company in a professional and confidential manner.

Must be pro-actively involved in continuous improvement of processes and team-based systems and have the ability to effectively promote their use throughout the company.

Working knowledge of Agile methodology is preferred. Project management skills are preferred in order to manage multiple on-going projects at various stages.

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Power Platform certification, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
