A hybrid IT Applications Manager job is currently available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH 45242. This is a full time, direct hire position with full benefits. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience along with extensive application support in a large enterprise environment.

The IT Applications Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategy execution for the enterprise applications team. This includes leading multiple teams and multiple projects, maintaining specified service level agreements, revising practices as appropriate to improve delivery of solutions to the organization, liaising with stakeholders within the IT organization and outside, and responding to the organization's changing application requirements. This position leads a total of 9 staff, including developers and support specialists. The IT Applications Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President of IT Operations.

Responsibilities & Daily Activities

  • General management - Management of the enterprise applications team. Performance appraisals, new employee hiring and onboarding, employee talent management, training, etc. are required.
  • Full lifecycle management of the company's internal application portfolio, such as the customer relationship management system, resource management, applicant tracking, timekeeping, project management, IT service management, and content collaboration systems. Excludes management of the ERP and HRIS systems.
  • Project management and oversight for new solution selection, implementation, and upgrades.
  • Significant end user and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain an on-call schedule for the support team that includes incident response, service request fulfillment, problem management, and escalation.
  • Coordinate change management for enterprise applications team.
  • Collaboration with data solutions team to create and manage system integrations.
  • Ensure ongoing application and data security by partnering with security, infrastructure, and other IT teams.
  • SLA Attainment and Reporting - Monitor SLA metrics/attainment and other key performance indicators to ensure the team is meeting or exceeding all requirements and take appropriate action to remedy any shortfalls.
  • Represent the enterprise applications team to the IT Change Advisory Board.

Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required. Must be eligible to receive a US Government security clearance.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in IT application support, including direct management of teams.
  • Extensive experience implementing and supporting IT applications in a large enterprise.
  • Experience planning and executing multiple applications projects.
  • Ability to continuously prioritize projects and requests based on business value.
  • Working knowledge and experience with a formal change management process, requirements gathering, incident, and request management for applications.
  • Experience supporting system integrations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to users, customers, and stakeholders with various computer knowledge skill sets.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to coach, inspire, and motivate teams to deliver results.
  • Experience hiring top talent, monitoring individual performance, coaching and developing, and holding staff accountable for great work.
  • Knowledge of information security best practices and specifically CMMC controls
  • Experience managing Salesforce, SharePoint, and/or ServiceNow development is preferred.
  • Experience implementing and managing a CMDB is preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis, setting team goals, monitoring team performance, and celebrating successes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Travel: <10% -- Occasional travel to local offices for on-site support. Distance between buildings varies per city. Occasional travel to remote US locations as needed.

Compensation

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $130,000-$150,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
