The IT Director will be a vital member of the leadership team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers [EDC]. In this position you will work directly with EDC’s Executive Leadership, Endeavour IT Manager, Edged staff and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic IT plans that support the organization's technology, security, data, and compliance objectives. We are looking for someone who can help set the standards and create the foundation to having an IT-first focus environment, while strategizing ways to scale our IT posture, foundation and providing cutting-edge innovative solutions.


The IT Director needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. About Edged Data Centers

Edged is a fast-growing provider of sustainable data centers and energy infrastructure. The company builds and operates a global network of ultra-efficient, AI-ready data centers with waterless cooling for colocation, hyperscale and build-to-suit customers. The highly differentiated infrastructure platform is the first large-scale, global deployment of waterless cooling platform-wide and transforms data center growth into a catalyst for sustainable development. Edged is backed by a deep proprietary technology stack that will include renewable microgrid systems, ultra-clean generators, and waste-to-fuel solutions. The platform is designed for rapid deployment with more than a dozen new data centers operating or under construction across Europe and North America and a gigawatt-scale project pipeline.


The North American division of Edged is a joint venture between one of the largest private multinational corporations in the world and an affiliate of Endeavour. Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing the entire IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Developing and implementing short and long term IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation in the market through our IT platforms.
  • Developing and implementing IT policies, systems, personnel and projects to support the strategic IT objectives.
  • Collaborate with EDC’s Senior Leadership Team as well as Endeavour’s Technical Team on implementation of the IT strategy.
  • Managing and controlling the IT budget, ensuring that spending is in line with the organization's priorities and objectives.
  • Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to the IT team to ensure successful delivery of IT projects and services.
  • Managing and developing the IT team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as senior executives, business unit leaders, including Data Center Operations and Project Delivery, as well as external partners to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and standards and ensuringcompliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and managing large-scale IT projects, from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Managing and mitigating IT-related risks, such as cyber threats, data breaches, and system downtime.
  • Ensuring that the organization's IT systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations, such as SOC, ISO, NIST, PCI, and GDPR.
  • Analyzing and reporting on key IT performance metrics, such as system uptime, response times, and user satisfaction.
  • Managing the IT supply chain and all IT vendor relationships including negotiating contracts for hardware, software, and services.
  • Evaluating, recommending, and implementing new hardware and software technologies to improve the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the organization's IT systems and data.
  • Providing strategic guidance on the use of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Requirements


Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably as an IT Director or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, software and emerging technologies.
  • Additional certifications such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and/or Microsoft Azure are preferred.
  • Regulatory experience in Data center /mission critical facilities preferred.
  • Experience leading large-scale IT projects, managing budgets, and overseeing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as network infrastructure, data governance, cybersecurity, and support.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide systems such as ERP, CRM, and EHR.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Experience building, developing, and coaching IT teams. Prefer experience working with remote teams.
