Description

Join our team as an IT Field Support Specialist, where you will serve as the expert in providing both on-site and remote support for a diverse range of equipment including computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing devices. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that our end-user community receives exceptional support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to assess and document current configurations and user needs.
  • Analyze requirements and create specifications for hardware purchases.
  • Prepare engineering plans and installation technical design packages.
  • Develop hardware installation schedules and prepare configuration change drawings.
  • Configure computers, communication devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Train site personnel on the proper use of hardware.
  • Build specialized interconnecting cables and troubleshoot, repair, and test various IT equipment.
  • Install and configure computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  • Maintain fiber optic modems, multiplexers, fiber optic/Ethernet cables, and telephone systems.
  • Update technical drawings using AutoCAD software as needed.

Qualifications

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph required.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED with five years of relevant experience and 8570 Certification (Security+ preferred).
  • Highly skilled in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Proficient in installing Windows, software applications, antivirus, and patches.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in remote end-user support.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory security and policies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times during a shift.
  • Availability for an 8-hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm, as scheduled by management.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
