Job Title: IT Production Engineer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, set up, and manage IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
  • Monitor the performance and health of production systems, swiftly addressing incidents and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to efficiently deploy new releases and updates to production environments.
  • Introduce automation and orchestration tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses of production incidents and apply corrective measures to prevent their recurrence.
  • Participate in capacity planning and scalability evaluations to ensure that production systems can accommodate future growth.
  • Create and update documentation for production systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in IT operations, proposing enhancements to boost reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT systems administration, particularly in supporting production environments.
  • Proficiency in technical domains like operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk) for ensuring the health and performance of production systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues promptly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
