Job Title: IT Regulatory Engineer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to comprehend and evaluate regulatory requirements relevant to IT systems and procedures.
  • Formulate and execute compliance strategies and protocols to ensure adherence to pertinent IT regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and others.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations of IT systems and procedures to pinpoint compliance gaps and areas necessitating enhancement.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to devise and implement controls and measures to tackle identified compliance issues and mitigate associated risks.
  • Stay vigilant about changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring our organization remains current and compliant.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to IT teams regarding regulatory concerns, including interpreting regulations, implementing controls, and addressing audit findings.
  • Act as an expert in IT regulatory compliance, delivering training and informative sessions to employees as required.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance audits and evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or pertinent certifications are desirable.
  • Profound understanding of applicable IT regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting compliance audits and assessments, identifying deficiencies, and executing remedial measures.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling interpretation and application of intricate regulatory requirements to IT systems and processes.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams and clear communication of complex regulatory concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with robust organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Previous experience in regulated sectors like healthcare, finance, or government is advantageous.
