IT Service Technician

My client is a dynamic and fast-paced Healthcare Managed Service Provider (MSP) and is seeking a skilled IT Service Technician to join their team on a part-time, ad-hoc, contract basis. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with MSP experience and a strong work ethic. This role requires some onsite work across the Tri-State area.

Role Overview:

As an IT Service Technician, you would be responsible for providing technical support and customer service to our clients. You will leverage your experience in a Windows environment and your light system administration skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires hands-on work setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure, including firewalls, and involves regular customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Windows environments, including Windows 10, Windows Server, and Office 365.
• Perform light system administration tasks, such as setting up and configuring firewalls and other network devices.
• Respond to and resolve troubleshooting requests from customers both remotely and on-site.
• Drive to customer locations as needed to provide on-site support.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of service requests and resolutions.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, ensuring clear communication and a professional demeanor at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar IT service technician role, ideally within an MSP setting.
• Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting Windows environments (Windows 10, Windows Server, Office 365).
• Experience with light system administration, specifically in setting up firewalls.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
