Job description:

We are an IT support firm seeking an IT support technician to work full-time in El Cajon, CA.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Administration and troubleshooting of Windows-based devices
  • Administration of Microsoft 365
  • Administration of a large Google-based environment including Google Workspace and Chromebooks
  • Administration of Apple MAC and iOS devices
  • Be able to provide training/assistance for end users
  • Managing and responding to tickets via ZenDesk

More about the job:

This job is located onsite at our clients office in El Cajon. The client is a public charter school serving grades K-12. You will work within in a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the clients entire Technology department. Your day will (typically) be spent at a single location but you may be required to travel between remote sites as-needed. The general schedule is M-F ~8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. After-hours and weekend work rarely occurs but is sometimes necessary. This position reports to a remote manager.

Qualifications:

People skills: this is the number one requirement. You must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Experience: this is an entry level position. No previous experience is necessary. 1+ yrs of experience supporting users in a helpdesk role is a plus.

Polish: you must present yourself very well. You will be representing our company and on-site with our client every day. Please be able to write and speak clearly and concisely.

Multitasker: you will be required to track multiple items at once (tickets, projects, etc.). Please be comfortable switching gears as necessary.

Other: This is an organization that works with children and as such you will be required to pass a background check. Occasionally, you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Bonus: Experience working in an education environment; industry standard IT certifications (A+, N+, Microsoft-based, etc.)
