Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide timely technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and assist with procurement as necessary.
- Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Ensure compliance with data access and security policies.
- Collaborate with the IT team to schedule and apply software updates and patches.
- Monitor the health and security of IT systems, implementing best practices for software maintenance.
- Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and IT policies.
- Document IT support requests and resolutions for future reference.
- Assist in the procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, and services.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee data backup processes and coordinate data recovery efforts in the event of system failures.
- Implement and maintain data retention and disaster recovery plans.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (required); relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are often preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of network protocols, administration, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
