JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees the IT departments various people and functions and manages the function of Sakata’s SAH IT Operations.


SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

  • Directly supervises Infrastructureemployees within the IT team within the Corporate Services department.

-System analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers on the IT team, including some distributed staff.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Facilitates and oversees the technical support and helpdesk roles and all services delivered by the same team, ensuring effective and helpful support is provided to end users.
  • Ensures the IT function is staffed to meet the needs of the organization and procures temporary backup resources as necessary to minimize service disruptions.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance, Security and Audit policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
  • Proactively implements policies, procedures, tools, and training to mitigate risk.
  • Ensure data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly.
  • Ensures all employees are trained and maintain or attend all compliance related trainings and events.


Strategic Planning and Budgeting

  • Oversee and direct the maintenance and creation of SOPs and other documentation related to the IT function.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with SAH Strategic business objectives, including information security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting senior staff of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organizations systems and operations.
  • Develop and manage IT annual operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives and future business needs.
  • Participates in other strategic planning initiatives assigned by the Senior Director of Corporate Services


Communication

  • Serve as a central point of information for the IT function.
  • Communicates the goals, policies, and procedures of the company to the IT team; develops plans to implement these needs.
  • Communicate effectively across all peer groups to include application, business, and technical areas, including accounting, HR, Ops, Corporate Services, etc.
  • Collaborates with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements.


Project Management

  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Communicates project related tasks and milestone expectations to all impacted stakeholders including peers and senior management.
  • Oversees and facilitates the installation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and software.
  • Ensures projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Drafts periodic status updates as per schedule or on an ad hoc basis when needed.
  • Prioritizes and assigns team members to IT projects.


Technical Duties

  • Provides technical and customer level support to internal users of the SAH enterprise that may include maintaining hardware and software and providing training.
  • Develops, manages, and implements hardware maintenance, software support, network and remote backups, upgrades, and Internet support.
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventor, Application and Enterprise Network architecture, and other IT assets.
  • Provide back up support to the IT team including managing user accounts, security maintenance, auditing, access control.
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Information Security, Computer Programming, or related field required.
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in Information Technology highly desired.
  • 5 years’ supervisory or management experience
  • Previous experience in IT related to Systems Administration, tech support, security or project management.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:

-Driver’s License

-ITIL, TOGAF or similar discipline

  • Certificates, licenses and registrations preferred:

-CNF

  • Computer skills required:

-Development Software.

-Microsoft Office.

-Project Management Software

Working knowledge of Jira or other job ticketing/incident management systems

  • Other skills required:

-Experience in project management, application integrations and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure)

-Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training.

-Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Suite

-In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security

-A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel requirements: must be able to travel in-between satellite offices for implementation.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary: $140,000-$155,000 per year
