Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an IT Systems Administrator at Zing Credit Union. The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the credit unions information technology infrastructure including server, networks, and software systems to ensure efficient operation and security. This involves tasks such as installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance troubleshooting issues, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to end users. This role will be primarily located in the Denver Metropolitan Area and required the ability to work from home and to provide onsite support as needed to best support the department and end users.


Required Skills/Abilities:

•Strong Knowledge and experience with operating systems (such as Windows server, Linux/Unix), 

networking protocols hardware components and software applications (O365) relevant to system 

administration. • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, using systematic problem- solving 

techniques and diagnostic tools. • Understand cybersecurity principles and best practices, including implementing security measures, managing access controls, and addressing/patching vulnerabilities. • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks and streamline system management processes.

• Familiarity with network protocols, routing, switching, and VPN technologies, as well as experience configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure. • Experience implementing backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures to ensure business continuity and data integrity. • Ability to create comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, end- users, and 

vendors, as well as the ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner. • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast -paced environment. Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to changing requirements, and stay updated on Industry trends and advancements in system administration. Experience in the financial industry is beneficial.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, 

Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred but not required)

 

Experience

3-5 years of experience in providing IT (Information Technology) support and/or business and 

technical analysis functions is highly preferred.

Experience working in the banking/credit union industry is preferred.
