We are looking for an ITIL Asset Management Lead for a major firm headquartered in CT.Role is fully remote - but needs to work EST hours. This is a contract to hire role, no third-party resumes please.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, monitor, and record software assets for the organization
Develop and promote an effective ITAM strategy, policy and best practices within the organization
Work with business stakeholders to manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (CMDB or similar)
Perform verification and auditing of the asset management database
Make sure the content of the database is accurate
Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets including version control, licensing details and usage statistics
Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.
Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
Qualifications
Strong background in software asset management (licensing, procurement, IT Operations, etc.)
Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
Any experience with IT monitoring (splunk, Grafana, ELK, logicmonitor, datadog, etc) is a plus, not required.
Experience with ITIL, ITSM or ITOM tools and concepts. Certification/training is a plus!
ServiceNow experience a plus
