Janitor/Food Service Worker

Compensation

Position pays $13.79 per hour

Location

CenClear’s Preschool, Mental Health/SUD Office and the Fine Line Event Center located in Saint Marys, PA

Hours

This is a full-time position working reduced hours in the summer.

This position will work 8 hours per day for 44 weeks working 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 4 hours per day for 8 weeks working 6:00 am to 10:00 am with the flexibility to help maintain the cleaning duties at the Fine Line Event Center.

Responsibilities

• Main function will be performing janitorial services such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms along with other janitorial duties.
• Maintain clean, orderly spaces in CenClear buildings.
• Ensure sanitary restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies daily.
• Remove trash daily.
• Use approved products for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting.
• Delivery of meals by picking up meals from St Mary’s Elementary School and delivering to the St Mary’s Preschool Center (company vehicle will be supplied for deliveries)
• Food Service duties may include food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing.
• Follow all CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Programs) regulations and the food service manual.
• Report any unsafe or special conditions that might lead to accidents, fire, etc. to office immediately.
• Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about CenClear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families.
• Attend all required staff meetings and participate in on-the-job training
• Communicate openly with supervisor by reporting any issues, concerns, or problems.
• Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.
• Duties at the Fine Line Event Center will include:
• Complete cleaning of 2 bathrooms
• Cleaning of two small rooms and one large ball room (including sweeping, moping, dusting, etc.)
• Cleaning kitchen area (when used by a renter)
• Regularly clean outdoor and indoor windows
• Perform other tasks as requested.
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Documented good physical health
• Ability to life and carry over fifty (50) pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
  
  

Physical Abilities

• Ability to reach overhead, lift and carry objects over fifty (50) pounds, and stand for extended periods with reasonable breaks.
• Ability to use mops, brooms, vacuum, commercial floor and carpet scrubbers.
• Ability to climb ladders and steps, clean various surfaces using chemical disinfectants, bend and retrieve items from the floor, stoop to move objects.
• Ability to hand wash and rinse dishes using chemical sanitizers, operate commercial dishwashers, clean various surfaces using chemical sanitizers and disinfectants.
• Ability to load and push carts from kitchen to classrooms and back, operate kitchen appliances and utensils
