As a Job Captain, you will play a critical role in overseeing architectural projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Envelope Coordination:
Oversee all aspects of interior engineered building systems.
Ensure seamless integration of architectural elements.
Technical Drawings:
Create and coordinate building sections, walls, plan details, and elevations.
Develop accurate technical drawings.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members to ensure efficient project execution.
Coordinate with MEP, structural, civil, and landscape consultants.
3D Design Development:
Utilize Revit and other 3D modeling software to create visionary, programming, and schematic proposals.
Develop designs in 3D.
Compliance:
Review building codes to ensure adherence to legal standards in California.
Construction Administration:
Attend meetings, review shop drawings, and maintain project records.
Sustainability Focus:
Strive for Net Zero, LEED Gold, and AIA 2030 Commitment criteria.
Top Skills Required:
Experience:
6-8 years of relevant experience (4 years acceptable with prior experience).
Proficiency across all project phases, including construction documents and assisting with initial design.
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with software such as Revit, Adobe Suite (including Illustrator), Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper.
Proficient in InDesign, PowerPoint, and Excel for data management.
Design Software:
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D visualization software.
Proficiency in Revit and architectural detailing.
Communication:
Strong communication skills when interacting with staff, owners, community members, and engineering/design consultants.
Project Management:
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in leading teams and managing projects is advantageous.
