Job Summary

CLW in Newbury, OH, is seeking a full-time Job Coach to join our Community Employment team. The Job Coach is responsible for evaluating clients and placing them in suitable jobs and activities to ensure their success. They create a safe and supportive environment, implement programs, provide physical assistance, and promote client independence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct acuity assessments and evaluate clients' capabilities.
  • Assign tasks based on client skills and monitor their progress regularly.
  • Train clients in various job tasks and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Vocational Services Director to manage job deadlines.
  • Encourage clients to engage in treatment programs and promote independence.
  • Address clients' personal needs promptly and effectively.
  • Provide instruction in areas like behavior reduction, self-help, communication skills, and more.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs and client care.
  • Model appropriate behavior for clients and staff.
  • Ensure clients' safety and report any incidents affecting their well-being.
  • Adhere to clients' Individual Service Plans and provide transportation when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in vocational and social settings.
  • Experience implementing behavior plans and programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of background check.
  • Pre-employment physical and drug testing.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Ability to drive shuttle buses or vans.

Physical Requirements

  • Manage physical and emotional stress.
  • Assist with clients' personal care and mobility.
  • Lift and position clients as needed.
  • Transport clients safely.
