Position Overview

Our ideal candidate is a passionate designer with a strong artistic and visual eye for design as well as a detail-oriented and organized individual capable of maintaining processes and procedures at a fast-growing company. This role will have a strong focus in creating print-ready files, pre-press processes, color management, and file formats to ensure high-quality production results. Good project management skills, an excellent communication style and the ability to respond quickly to last minute changes is required. As a Junior Graphic Designer at Kendra Scott, you will be part of our in-house Creative team and report directly to the Senior Graphic Designer.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that Kendra Scott standards of design quality and creativity are reflected consistently in all materials.
  • Prepares files to send to print and ensures digital files are accurate for hand off.
  • Create and deliver compelling graphic designs for an array of business units across all channels, including but not limited to Print, Wholesale, Retail, EComm, Social, PR, and Philanthropy marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the Wholesale team’s production needs and make sure they align with the overall brand’s look and feel.
  • Work with a large cross-functional team to design the company’s seasonal wholesale linelist.
  • Work closely with the digital team to create enticing, revenue driving emails, web content, digital ads & social posts.
  • Maintain and uphold our creative approval process, including creative requests, project management, and approval flows.
  • Research emerging trends and best practices in digital & print marketing.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • 2+ years of related professional experience developing marketing materials for a retail brand preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of visual design principals: graphic design, layout, typography, color and branding.
  • Proven talent in layout design.
  • Expertise in creating and optimizing print-ready files, including thorough knowledge of pre-press processes, color management, and file formats to ensure high-quality production results.
  • Enjoys an enthusiastic and team-oriented, collaborative work style.
  • Must be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and deadline oriented.
  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery, manage multiple priorities and react to quick turnarounds based on evolving business needs.
  • A strong ability to build cross functional partnerships and work collaboratively.
  • A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas.
