Position Overview

We are looking for a Full-Time Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. If you have 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, and you're passionate about making a difference, we'd love to hear from you! Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Processing: Handle day-to-day tasks such as accounts payable (invoice review, vendor setup, payment runs), accounts receivable (invoices, payments), and journal entries.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies, preparing necessary adjustments.
• Finance Mailbox Management: Monitor and manage the finance mailbox.
• Corporate CC Charges: Review daily corporate credit card charges for completeness and accuracy.
• Cash Receipts: Record daily/weekly cash receipts and process bank deposits.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Assist with monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and the monthly close process. Prepare post-close reports.
• Documentation: Maintain departmental files and update policies and procedures as needed.
• Grant Support: Assist the Grants Accountant with grant analysis, billing, and compliance, including documentation gathering, report running, and billing preparation.
• Audit Preparation: Help prepare for the annual audit.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks and projects as assigned.
  
  

Knowledge And Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables), and familiarity with Intacct, Yooz, or Ramp is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), high attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach.
• Sector Experience: Nonprofit experience is a plus; a genuine interest in working within this sector is essential.

Salary And Benefits

• Salary Range: \(60,500 - \)66,000 (Actual salary may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance.)
