Title: Junior Copywriter

Position: Part-Time Hours + Long-Term/Ongoing Work

Location: Greater, Phoenix AZ

Work Schedule: Mostly remote, 1 day per week for a few hours on-site.

A part-time Junior Copywriter position is now available in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area. This position will focus heavily in creating digital content for clients across various industries. Majority of copywriting will be web-based with SEO components, however it is ideal if the Junior Copywriter has versatility in writing across all mediums + strong proofreading and editing skills.

This is an on-going project (no end date), with an estimated 24 hours per week. This position can work mostly remote, however the team is very collaborative, so prefer if the Junior Copywriter can meet at least one day per week for a few hours in-person.

As a Junior Copywriter you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Assisting with strategy, research, and content creation for a variety of projects such as: websites + landing pages, video, social media, long & short form articles, blogs, emails, case studies, interviews, branding & marketing collateral, etc.
• Ability to write for a variety of brands/diverse industries: B2B + some technical content that needs finessed/customized, B2C, education, travel & tourism, and more!
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with peers across creative, account service, SEO, and web development teams.
• Serve in a client facing position to assist with overall strategy from a content development point of view.
• Ensure all digital content is optimized appropriately (SEM,SEO)
• Provide recommendations for existing and new campaigns to drive metrics and performance, as well as ensure remaining up to date on industry trends, etc.
• Assist with content and visual elements such as graphics, video, etc. that align with overall messaging, brand standards, and content.

Junior Copywriting Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study (Journalism, PR, Communications, etc.).
• Ideally 2-4 years of professional experience working in fast-paced, and deadline driven environment.
• Portfolio showcasing diverse copywriting experience (both print & digital)
• Proficient in AP Style writing
• Client facing experience – comfortable interviewing stakeholders, asking questions in meetings, sharing ideas with peers in meetings, and brainstorming.
