Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to support business objectives. This role requires advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, and data visualization, as well as experience in data warehousing and analysis. The successful candidate will be able to present data-driven insights confidently to senior leadership and will have a solid understanding of hardware and operating systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues using Zendesk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Excel Proficiency: Use advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, and other data visualization tools to format, manipulate, and present data effectively.
- Reporting: Create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports that communicate key findings to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Data Warehousing: Utilize data warehousing tools and techniques to store, retrieve, and analyze data efficiently. Ensure data integrity and accuracy across various databases.
- Communication: Present complex data insights in a manner that is easily understandable to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing recommendations based on data analysis.
- Hardware & OS Knowledge: Apply knowledge of hardware and operating systems to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Work with the IT team to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Ticketing System Management: Use Zendesk or similar ticketing systems to track, manage, and resolve technical issues related to hardware and operating systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and senior management, to align data analysis with business goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, analysis techniques, and reporting methods. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, either through internships or full-time roles, with a strong focus on Excel and data warehousing.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, and data visualization. Experience with data warehousing tools and techniques.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Hardware & OS Knowledge: Solid understanding of hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting. Experience using ticketing systems like Zendesk is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with SQL or other database querying languages.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with other data analysis software or programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Certification in data analysis, data science, or a related field.
