Job Overview

As a Junior Financial Analyst focusing on Financial Management and Governance, you will assist in analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Analyze financial performance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement or concern.
    • Support the preparation of variance analysis and financial forecasts.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Contribute to the development and monitoring of departmental and organizational budgets.
    • Assist in preparing budget reports and variance analysis to ensure alignment with financial goals.
    • Help in the forecasting process to predict future financial performance based on historical data and market trends.
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Support adherence to internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with financial governance standards.
    • Help in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial documentation and records.
  • Financial Management:
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data relevant to their areas of responsibility.
    • Provide support in tracking and managing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Assist in the implementation of financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Data Management and Analysis:
    • Utilize financial software and tools to collect, analyze, and report financial data.
    • Help in maintaining financial databases and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Assist in preparing data visualizations and presentations for management review.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial modeling software).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and produce meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
