Job Description

As a Junior Financial Analyst - Investment at Augmentjobs, you will support the investment team in analyzing financial data, assessing investment opportunities, and developing strategies to optimize the company's investment portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting research, preparing financial reports, and assisting in the evaluation of investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze financial statements and investment data to identify trends and assess performance.
    • Conduct quantitative analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Investment Research:
    • Research and evaluate investment opportunities, including stocks, bonds, and other securities.
    • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to provide actionable insights.
  • Financial Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast investment performance and assess risk.
    • Assist in scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate potential outcomes.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior analysts and management.
    • Assist in the creation of investment memos and recommendations.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Support the management of the investment portfolio by tracking performance and suggesting adjustments.
    • Help in the rebalancing of portfolios as needed.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Assist in the documentation and reporting of investment activities.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with senior analysts and investment managers to support investment strategies.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to team members and stakeholders.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on investment analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in analyzing financial information and preparing reports.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to team objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Progress towards CFA designation or other relevant financial certifications.
