SUMMARY: WR’s GeoNavigation Technologies Division has an opportunity for two (2) Software Engineer, Associates for the design of Geospatial/Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts such as:
Object oriented programming
Design patterns
Multi-threading
Inter-process communication
Buffering
Persistence
Modeling
Simulation
Solid understanding of data filtering, present time filtering, future time predictions, and interpolation smoothing methods.
On a limited basis - able and willing to support division travel to trade shows and customer sites.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree; conferred or currently in final year of program in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related Scientific discipline.
Geospatial based software design with emphasis on: Graphical User Interfaces; Backend logic and database/s.
Capable of conducting performance tuning and debugging.
Preferred:
Knowledge of high level language in C++ and/or C#.

Completed coursework or knowledge of:
OS - Linux and Windows
Languages – C / C++ / C# / ASP.NET/ Blazor / .NET Core / Mono
Protocols – HDF5 / GML
Communications – UDP / TCP / RS232
GUI – HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Typescript
