Junior Technical Systems Associate

Job Summary

The Junior Technical Systems Associate position?provides service excellence to The German Marshall Fund and employees through fast and efficient technical solutions. This position applies in-depth technical knowledge of computers, servers, networks, and current technology trends to troubleshoot issues and communicates problems and the solutions to colleagues. The position involves both technical support and administration as well as CRM and Database support and development. The Junior Technical Systems Associate will provide support and resolution to multiple issues, work on technical projects, and provide maintenance across all aspects of Information Technology in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support (including Tier 1 and Tier 2) for all GMF staff
  • Remote server, cloud, webmail, mobile phone access support
  • Configure and deploy new PC’s
  • Manage creation and deletion of user accounts in all enterprise systems (including Exchange, Active Directory, Hosted VoIP)
  • Management of IT Projects and Tasks for the department
  • Maintain CRM Database and assist staff with Database Projects and Queries
  • Build Electronic forms for all events and serve as a contact for Database Training and Support
  • Manage new hire onboarding process and orientation
  • Assist in providing support for mobile devices - IOS, Android
  • Oversee and provide conference support
  • Provide event support: video and audio conferencing, presentations, A/V & projector setup, cabling, troubleshooting, communication with external vendors (e.g., for live streaming).
  • Provide support for video conferencing system
  • Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge And Skills Needed

  • This position requires a minimum of 1 - 3 years of professional IT experience in an office environment or college equivalent along with a solid understanding of Microsoft products and printers
  • Experience supporting an Enterprise environment- on-premise or cloud
  • Experience administering Office 365 environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues in a cross-cultural, fast-paced environment
  • Versatile, ambitious, and a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges
  • Knowledge of Hosted VoIP systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security is a plus
  • Previous experience with Database Support is a plus
  • Extreme attention to detail, sense of urgency, and a high level of customer service required
  • May need to provide after-hours support
  • May require international travel as needed

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field preferred
  • CompTIA A+ / Net+ preferred

Salary: $45,500 - $56,870
