About the Role


Hu is looking for chocolate-loving Key Account Manager(s) to drive growth with our Independent Retail Partners and manage our Third-Party Merchandising relationships. A great candidate will have knowledge of the CPG sales process, understand fact-based selling, and familiarity with merchandising practices.


There are two open Key Account Manager roles open at this time: one focused on East accounts, the other focused on West accounts.


These positions report to the Sr. Sales Manager of Natural and will be fully remote roles.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead our Independent business nationally across both the Natural and Conventional Channels
  • Work collaboratively with the Natural & Conventional Sales Managers to help deliver annual sales volume, trade spend, and ROI targets with our Independent Retail Partners
  • Track performance, ensure proper ordering cadence, and managing customer forecasts
  • Own the relationship with both the Buyers & the Brokers over your accounts
  • Utilize shopper and syndicated data to create impactful stories to execute sales initiatives
  • Category review presentation preparation – pulling data, PowerPoint building, SKU rationalization, shelf placement analysis, promotional frequency
  • Establish promotional calendars for your accounts and work with the Trade Marketing Team to implement revenue driving programs (Case Stack Deals, Shipper Deals, etc.)
  • Monitor the performance of our Third-Party Merchandising teams to better sell in innovation and close retail voids


About You

Do you have a desire to be an entrepreneurial sales superstar? With a love of chocolate bordering on the dangerous? Then Hu would be honored to have you on our team. The requirements of the role are:

  • Experience creating fact-based selling stories from syndicated data sources (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI)
  • Hunter mentality when it comes to seeking new accounts & opportunities to grow the business
  • Dynamic, hands-on learner with success as a top-performing CPG professional
  • Ability to foster strong partnerships with brokers and third-party merchandising teams while driving growth
  • Comfort leading meetings with a desire to develop a career within sales
  • Fluent in Power Point, Excel, and would consider yourself data-savvy
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment for one of the fastest growing CPG companies in the industry
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings and trade shows (approximately 1-2x per month)
  • 2+ years of experience in CPG Industry or related industry
