We're looking for a Global Digital Marketing Lead who will lead fresh and distinctive digital strategies and plans that expand Nike's brand connection and influence across the world of Football (known as Soccer in North America). The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about the game and has a strong vision for how Nike football can foster digital innovation, inspiration and connection, to enhance engagement with football consumers worldwide. Extensive experience in digital marketing, a proven track record of leading transformative initiatives in consumer engagement, preferably within football, and a willingness to take calculated risks are essential for excelling in this role. A profound understanding of the Gen Z football consumer and an affinity for the (digital) environments where they engage with the game - from Nike's owned platforms (nike.com & apps) to social media to new & emerging frontiers of consumer engagement - are also crucial.
This role will define and lead global digital marketing plans to make athlete dreams real, delivering disruptive ideas to drive consumer engagement with Nike Football and orchestrating digital experiences to drive growth for Nike Football footwear and apparel, putting the football-obsessed consumer at the center. This includes managing end-to-end digital marketing content and journey briefs, as well as driving transformative digital initiatives from ideation to strategy to execution in partnership with key global football team members and GEO's.
We're an inclusive, innovative, and passionate team. You will report directly to the Global Digital Marketing Director of Nike Football. You will partner closely and collaboratively with Global Brand Management, Integrated Media, Social, Comms, Sports Marketing, Creative, and Business leads, in Global as well as with Geography partners in North America, APLA, Greater China, and EMEA. As needed, you will manage agencies and partners to bring strategies to life.
You will bring a desire to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy, skilled team of digital marketers who have a passion for football (soccer) and crafting meaningful connections between consumers and the Nike brand.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training
- A deep understanding of the football consumer and an affinity for the (digital) environments where they engage with the game
- 5 years of experience driving Digital Marketing at a global, geo, and/or city level
- Able to identify digital innovation opportunities in football and lead the development of initiatives from strategy to delivery that enhance brand presence and engagement in these areas
- Proven track record of leading transformative initiatives in digital consumer engagement, preferably within football
- Strong understanding of full-funnel digital marketing strategies and how to collaborate cross-functionally with brand management, creative, paid media, retail, social & comms
- Strong analytical skills and proven capability to use data to drive business & marketing decisions
- Effective communicator, both written, verbally and through formal presentation of plans
- Great interpersonal skills and teamwork mentality and ability to partner well with many different specialists
- Experience managing agencies and third-party vendors
- A strong sense of personal accountability, a bias for action, and an ability to work autonomously
- Genuine passion for the game of football and the culture that surrounds it
