Job Summary: Our company seeks a highly experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating comprehensive training programs from the ground up, focusing on developing curriculum and facilitating leadership development programs emphasizing soft skills. This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning styles and the ability to design and implement effective training solutions that enhance employee skills, performance, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive learning and development programs tailored to the organization's needs, with a strong emphasis on leadership development and technical programs tailored to the needs of the warehousing sector.
- Curriculum Design: Create engaging and effective training curricula that address both technical and soft skills required for leadership roles, such as communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.
- Facilitation: Conduct training sessions and workshops, utilizing various instructional techniques to accommodate different adult learning styles and promote interactive learning.
- Leadership Development: Develop and deliver leadership development programs that focus on cultivating soft skills, fostering a positive organizational culture, and preparing employees for leadership roles.
- Technical Training: Develop and deliver technical training programs specific to warehousing, including the use of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement within the organization, focusing on leadership development.
- Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, subject matter experts, and senior leadership to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and leadership development strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in leadership development and adult learning, and continuously seek ways to enhance training programs.
- Adult Learning: In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in applying these principles to create effective training programs.
- Facilitation Skills: Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners in interactive learning environments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical Training: Develop and deliver technical training programs specific to warehousing, including the use of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, with a proven track record of creating and implementing leadership development programs focused on soft skills.
- Strong experience in developing and facilitating training programs that focus on soft skills, such as communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional certifications in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) or leadership development are a plus.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms and tools and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with best practices in leadership development, organizational culture, and familiarity with the warehousing and logistics industry, including current trends and challenges.
- Must be willing to travel 20%
- Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives
