The Learning and Development Manager (LDM) will ensure staff at LifeLong Medical Care have comprehensive and effective learning experiences through training during onboarding and ongoing professional development opportunities. The LDM will work cross functionally, under the supervision of the Chief People Officer or their designee, with Department Directors and Program Managers to research, build, deliver, maintain, and evaluate relevant training and professional development resources in different programmatic areas. The LDM will also support the organization’s diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and trauma-informed initiatives.
This is a hybrid role that requires 80% time in-person at various LifeLong locations in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Benefits
Compensation $105,000 - $132,000/year. We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision (including dependent and domestic partner coverage), generous leave benefits including ten paid holidays, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) retirement savings plan.

Provide visionary leadership to the development and execution of LifeLong’s learning and professional development approach
Identify and integrate best practices in adult learning throughout LifeLong’s learning and professional development resources
Partner in the development and refinement of culturally responsive curriculums, educational resources, and training collateral (e.g. handouts, tip sheets, job aids)
Develop and maintain relationships with outside consultants, subject matter experts, and trainers as applicable
Monitor the effectiveness of learning and professional development resources and incorporate adjustments for optimal learning and skill uptake
Collaborate as part of a team of high-performing learning professionals to foster an organizational culture of continuous learning and quality improvement
Collaborate with specific departments and teams (e.g., Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, Homelessness Services) to support their learning and development priorities
Conceptualize and deliver organizational change processes through strong project management skills
Partner with Department and Program leadership to develop and deliver onboarding plans for new staff in a highly organized and professional manner, including communications, logistics, and coordination with other relevant HR teams
Conduct outreach and engagement efforts to market learning and professional development opportunities with LifeLong staff
Collaborate with supervisors to identify training and skill building resources that support staff to achieve their short- and long-term professional development goals
Support supervisors with resources to help them tailor feedback and skill building to the individual learning and development needs of staff
Explore and leverage technology solutions to enhance learning where appropriate, while achieving the right balance of in-person content delivery to best suit the needs of staff
Conduct initial and periodic training needs assessment to identify priority learning and professional development topics using staff surveys and interviews, contract reviews, and environmental scans
Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within all aspects of LifeLong’s learning and professional development practices and resources
Partner with the Director of DEIB in implementing trauma-informed learning opportunities across the organization.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of staff attendance and completion of learning and professional development opportunities
Curate and maintain a catalog of all learning and professional development resources created and delivered to LifeLong staff
Lead and inspire others through their exceptional skills in connecting and maintaining relationships with staff

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher
4+ years of experience conducting similar tasks in project management, curriculum development, training delivery, facilitation, and evaluation
Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Advanced experience using different presentation platforms such as Canva or others
Reliable means of transportation for travel to training locations
