Course Description
The second of a two-semester core sequence that provides the student with basic knowledge in biology, including specific experimental techniques and familiarity with the scientific method. Emphasizes physiology, development, diversity of life, evolution, and ecology.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Biological Sciences or related fields
- Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
- A doctorate or equivalent in Biological Sciences, and related fields
- Experience teaching similar courses in 4-year universities
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,007 - $5,490 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,007 - $6,359 per full-time month
