We operate fully onsite in Aventura, FL. Please only apply if you are comfortable working onsite Monday- Friday 9am-6pm

The Legal Assistant will manage and oversee a wide array of administrative responsibilities for the Chief Legal Officer and Legal Department, including calendar management, file management, management of company-related documents and notifications, vendor invoice processing, and travel-related planning. You will also perform a variety of tasks that require discretion and independent judgment in order to fully support our Company’s senior level executives. A successful Legal Assistant will be highly organized, handle pressure well, and understand the importance of deadlines. You must also know how to relate to people in a variety of situations, be highly trustworthy, discreet, and use good judgment.

You Will

  • Prepare official letters and assist in drafting basic legal documents for review
  • Assist in corporate matters
  • Assist with telephone calls and schedule Zoom meetings and Zoom Court appearances
  • Assist in the contract execution process as needed, including the use of DocuSign
  • Manage communications to the Legal team, outside counsel, and internal staff regarding Legal Department initiatives
  • Assist in the execution, organization, and tracking of vital Company records and documents
  • Maintain and own the Corporate Legal calendar
  • Balance conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects and meet critical deadlines
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to the Chief Legal Officer
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

You Should Have

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field a plus
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Strong professional, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail while performing a variety of different tasks as needed
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
