Legal Assistant

Legal.io is working with a Fintech company seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal for a 3 month contract. This is a hybrid position (2 days/week in office) in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Review and clean up cap table versus equity agreements
• Ensure all agreements are accurately reflected in the cap table and flag any discrepancies
• Handle sensitive information with utmost care and confidentiality
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Support contract administration tasks while the senior legal operations admin is on leave
• Provide meticulous attention to detail and ensure thoroughness in all tasks

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Experience with equity agreements and cap table management preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Baseline knowledge of equity is an advantage
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with a preference for candidates based in New York, NY, able to come into the office 2 days per week

Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Location: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)

Duration: 3 months

Hourly Pay Rate: $60 - 70 / hour ($120,000 - $140,000 annualized)
