We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with a background in transcribing depositions and hearings for a 100% remote opportunity as Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Processing audio recordings to create verbatim transcripts while adhering to style guides.
• Collaborating with a supportive, in-office team as needed.
• Setting your own schedule with a variety of work available to accommodate different time preferences, including weekends.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
• Strong listening skills and ability to meet deadlines while following client-specific style guides.
• Excellent literacy skills with a command over comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
• Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy for processing content efficiently.
• Capability to work remotely and handle potentially sensitive audio/text content.
• Eligibility to pass a background check and familiarity with legal terminology.

• High-speed internet and a computer or laptop.
• Noise-canceling quality headphones.
• Windows 10 operating system and an antivirus program with daily updates.
