Essential Duties and Responsibilities: CRRC MA Corporation Headquarters is seeking a Legal Counsel to be responsible for handling a full range of legal matters including:


  • Draft, review, revise, and negotiate contracts, including, but not limited to, NDAs, engagement letters, service contracts, government contracts, vendor contracts, supplier contracts, leases, and contract amendments.
  • Manage, maintain, and update the company’s contract templates.
  • Prepare, draft, and review a variety of legal documents and responses.
  • Research legal issues impacting the company and stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Provide sound and accurate legal advice to various departments including, but not limited to, procurement, HR, projects, facility, business development, and IT.
  • Draft, update, and review company policies to make sure they stay current.
  • Assist in training managers and executives on legal compliance.
  • Assist in developing and improving compliance processes, policies, and guidance to minimize legal exposure.
  • Handle legal disputes, investigate claims, and draft related documents and responses.
  • Perform pre-litigation or litigation work as needed.
  • Perform company registration and corporate governance matters as needed.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel on legal matters and assist with litigation and investigation responses.
  • Draft legal documentation as needed and perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or LLM degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state bar (preferably Massachusetts bar)
  • 3+ years' legal practice experience working in a law firm, company, or government entity.
  • Excellent legal analysis, writing, and research skills.
  • Working experience in government contracts, contract negotiations, corporate law, employment law, data privacy, or litigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
