Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities:

1. Franchise Law Expertise

- Demonstrated experience in U.S. franchise law, particularly in the foodservice industry

- Ability to review and revise franchise agreements, ensuring compliance with federal and state franchise regulations

2. Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) Management

- Thoroughly review our current FDD, identify and resolve any discrepancies

- Update the FDD to align with our business terms and operations

- Ensure the FDD is compliant with all relevant federal and state laws

3. Regulatory Compliance

- Stay up-to-date on all food safety and health regulations, both at the federal and state levels

- Provide guidance on how our products, ingredients, and operations can meet regulatory requirements in new markets

- Advise the team on what is and is not permissible under the law

4. Clear Legal Guidance

- Proactively identify potential legal risks and provide actionable recommendations

- Communicate legal implications in a clear and concise manner, avoiding ambiguity

5. Lease Negotiations and Reviews

- Review and negotiate lease agreements for our company-owned stores

- Liaise directly with landlord attorneys to ensure favorable terms

6. Marketing Compliance

- Provide oversight and guidance on marketing campaigns and materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
