Founded by the youngest US radiologist in history, Rad AI empowers physicians with Al to save time, reduce burnout, and improve the quality of patient care. By combining our deep expertise in healthcare and AI and using one of the largest proprietary radiology report datasets in the world, our AI has uncovered hundreds of new cancer diagnoses for patients and reduced the error rate in tens of millions of radiology reports by nearly 50%.

Why we need you: The world of AI in healthcare is evolving at lightning speed, and you'll be at the forefront of this transformation. As our Legal Counsel, you'll play a crucial role in navigating the complex legal landscape. Your counsel will be instrumental in navigating legal complexities, supporting our drive for innovation and growth while ensuring we remain compliant and ethical.

Without your expertise, we would miss out on key opportunities to expand our impact, delay deployment and implementation of our time-saving products with physicians, and may let important partnerships slip away. You'll be the guardian of our relationships with healthcare partners, protecting our intellectual property and helping us build trust with physicians, executive leaders, and more.

Here's what you'll be doing: As Counsel at Rad AI, you'll be a key player in our legal operations and execution, working closely with our commercial teams and other managers to drive our mission forward. Your days will be diverse and exciting, filled with:

• Negotiating commercial contracts that bring our AI solutions to healthcare providers worldwide.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive privacy program that ensures compliance with HIPAA and our BAAs, safeguarding sensitive medical data while supporting our innovative healthcare solutions, and working alongside our security and product teams.
• Collaborating with our sales team to create streamlined processes that accelerate deal closures without compromising legal integrity.
• Developing scalable legal processes, tools, and infrastructure, including internal documentation and legal tech stacks.
• Staying abreast of legal and policy developments in the generative AI space to keep Rad AI ahead of the curve.
• Expansion - Our company is growing quickly and we expect many opportunities for new projects, tackling the unexpected, and professional growth.
  
  

You need these qualifications:

• J.D. and admission in good standing to at least one state bar.
• Strong business acumen and self-motivation.
• Extensive experience in commercial contract negotiations.
• Experience in healthcare technology or AI, with a deep understanding of the unique legal challenges in this space.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and shape legal strategy in an emerging field.
• A growth mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence.

• You have experience managing privacy concerns in healthcare, or a similarly highly regulated industry.

Compensation Range: $180K - $230K
